A Brief Profile of Alex Emmanuel

A BA in English Literature and an MBA (post graduate) from the prestigious Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mr. Alex Emmanuel brings to the table Research / Consultancy and hands on corporate experiences. More than a 100 organizations - Industry | NGOs | Education - have gained substantially from the organization & capability building initiatives by him and his organization, the People Plus.

Work Experience:

Been Group Vice President HR, for the TATAs, on the rolls of Tata Sons spearheading the management development initiatives for the group. Prior to that with in the Tata group he served as head of HR for the Tata Tele Services | Tata Liebert Ltd. He was on the Board of Itel (Tata Keltron. Asea Brown Boveri (ABB), Boehringer Mannheim India & Excel Industries were the other organizations he was engaged with. At Tata Liebert (Emerson Electric now) he simultaneously held responsibilities for HR | corporate Communications| Business Excellence | CSR & sales and gained accolades for sales performance; won awards at the national level for HR excellence.

Consultancy:

He launched his consultancy organization - People Plus India - in 2004. Since then as a consultant and in his professional capacity he has been involved with nearly a 100 companies: Mahindras / L&T / HDFC / Excel Industries / Infosys / MRF / Saint Gobain / Rustomjee / Ozone Group / ACMIIL Nucleus Group - on HR Processes, H R maturity assessment, Operations, Strategy and Leadership.

Business Excellence Initiatives:

As a certified Senior Assessor of two of the Business Excellence Models, Mr. Emmanuel has assessed companies like EID Parry / SRF / Canon India / Vestas / Tata Tea / Honey well corporation / Emco Transformers, to name a few.

Coaching:

He has been a coach to the top management team members at MRF and L&T & a few CEOs.

Other Pursuits:

He is | has actively been associated, in various capacities, with Trade Forums, Professional organizations / Academic Institutes and NGOs. A member on the senate of the SNDT University, he has been a visiting faculty at a few of the leading Management Institutes and conducted numerous workshops for students and faculty.
